Algarve

The South of Portugal is one of the most sought-after regions for foreigners who want to live in Portugal or invest in a holiday home.

The Algarve's wonderfully mild climate throughout the year is one of the main reasons, along with the fact that it is one of the best-golfing destinations in the world!

Whether you prefer coastal Algarve, with more than 155 kilometres of white sandy beaches, golden cliff faces and stunning coastline or the more inland and rural Algarve, where the tranquillity of the landscape is enhanced by the scent of flowering orange trees and the green pastures of the mountainous regions of Monchique...

This beautiful region of Portugal offers a variety of lifestyles from prestigious trendy resorts to a real taste of Portuguese living, in the quaint small fishing villages scattered throughout its coastline.

Algarve fulfils dreams with its romantic locations and cultural balance, sharing itself openly to those that seek its beauty. Whether as a tourist or embracing the Algarvarian lifestyle as a permanent resident, the Algarve offers a wonderful simple life experience!

Welcome to sunny Algarve

Ria Formosa Natural Park

Spanning over 18 000 hectares, the Ria Formosa is an ecosystem of lagoons and islands that stretch for 60 km along the Algarve coastline from West of Faro to Cacela Velha.

It encompasses a vast area of marshlands, salt pans, creeks, and dune islands.

The marshes have become a very important part of the ecological system for migrating birds.
