This week, Dylan is joined by Sara Sousa Rebolo, Benfica fan and a Lisbon-based lawyer specialising in immigration. They discuss, amongst other things, why and how people from all over the world are moving to Portugal.

Sara Sousa Rebolo has extensive experience in the area of Immigration and Real Estate Law, being partner and coordinator of the Immigration Department of Caiado Guerreiro, an international law firm based in Lisbon, Portugal. The firm is also present in Porto and Faro (Portugal), as well as in Africa and Beijing (China).

Sara works daily with foreign investors, High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWI), providing legal advice on investment residence processes, entrepreneur visas, short and long term residence permits, mobility of workers and companies, family reunification, short term visas, European residence and citizenship processes. Real estate contracts and due diligence are also part of her day.

During her career she has also worked in the areas of Employment and Corporate Law and regularly participated as a speaker at international conferences promoted by UGlobal and the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in the United Kingdom and in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Her MA thesis was entitled "Project Finance: Leverage Mechanism in the Corporate and Economic Framework" and, more recently, she has published some articles on the growing Chinese investment in the Portuguese real estate market, the Portuguese Residency by Investment (Golden Visa) programme and on Portuguese Citizenship.
